We were asked to help a global manufacturing company, which provides a wide range of high performance materials for use in the construction, automotive and industrial sectors. This was a new role for the company and required a highly experienced S&OP professional, capable of operating across fifteen countries, with wide cultural variation.

The main challenge was to establish a culture of unified planning and production in the company, establishing a supply chain fit for purpose. This required very strong people and team leadership skills as well as excellent stakeholder management. A new ERP system was planned and this needed to be embedded into the “new” culture.

Our Interim Manager quickly established good relations across the various manufacturing facilities and got buy-in to the way forward. He fitted in well with the management team, helping to put the CEO’s vision practically in place, and helped accelerate the pace of change. He was extended twice beyond the original contract and eventually converted to a permanent role within the company.
